Hi Mark,
Ever since I took your Drum Workshop in Philadelphia, and came home talking about EVERYTHING I'd learned, my daughter has continually asked me questions and asks me to repeat the history stories and information you passed along to us.The history you hand down is vitally important for people in this country to learn and to know. Playing the drum is very, very relaxing.
Thank you for sharing what is so very important to you, in the workshop. What I learned is now being passed on in my family.
Sincerely,
Veronica 9-27-06

I have just purchased the 16" Four Winds Elk Dreamer Drums at Phoenix & Dragon here in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Wow, the inate vibration revived my spirit. Each drum has its own unique resonance; I found the one (or it found me)that matched perfectly my soul need.
Thank you for not cutting corners--doing it right the first time; every time. Every drum is unique and each finds its place. My heart now beats with the heartbeat of the earth (once again), even though I live in the chaos of the city. Sweet peace and comfort...

Mr. Barfoot,
because I was adopted at birth and those records are sealed by the laws of my state i have learned very little about where I come from---i do however know that I am half Commanche, and I longed for many years to get in touch with that part of myself--however vague it may be. I recently bought on of your cds in Jackson,Ms and I have no shame in telling you that "Moved By The Spirits" moved me to tears, because of your music i can feel who I am in my soul even if I cant reach out and touch it----I am proud of my heritage and as long as there are people like you keeping the old music alive I will be able to touch in some small way that missing part of my soul---Thank you Mr. Barfoot for sharing from your soul to mine.
may the gods always smile on you,
John Williams

Dear Mark,
I belong to a shamanic group (led by a bon tibetan shaman) and had put off buying a drum. When he required us to bring a drum to group I went to the Mashantucket-Pequot Museum and purchased one of your small drums. I bonded with that drum from the first time I played it...
Whenever I am alone, that little drum calls to me to play it. And when I do, its wonderful vibrations and sound are like balm to my spirit. When I am done, I place it on my chest and feel my heart opening up, something I have a great deal of trouble accomplishing.
Now I give you my thanks. Someday I will purchase a larger drum. But that little drum will always be special to me.
Namaste

After playing classical flute and a variety of wood recorders and other flutes, I must say that there is absolutely no comparison to the transcendental experience of playing one of Mark's flutes. The tones and sheer power of the vibrations that resonate within this solid, seamless wood instrument, are like nothing I have ever experienced. Playing this flute is akin to listening to Ravi Shankar live. It puts me in the same meditative zone and brings me to a state of peace and balance that just brightens up my day and softens my heart. Thanks. Merri 1/6/2006

Hello Mark, I recently purchased a Purple Heart Flute from you at the Shinencock Pow Wow during the Labor Day weekend. I love the flute and the sounds I get out of it. If you remember you were kind enough to teach me one song and my wife was enchanted and bought the flute for me. Jorge Farrat 9/22/2007
