Mark is an excellent teacher and can give drum workshops at your chosen location. He supplies drum kits to participants and gives personal instruction on how to make the drum. He shares the history of the Native American drum, and teaches about Indian culture. Native drum art is a tradition passed from our ancestors to those who keep it true and sacred. These drums are used for personal drums,in drum circles, drum groups, on stage. Mark's drums are found in the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian. Mark was drum maker for Spirit the Seventh Fire music and dance production His drums are played by U2, Buffy Sainte Marie, Peter Buffett, Keith Secola, and many other musicians.

The drum is a deep and sacred part of Native American culture. The beat of the drum is in sync with the heartbeat of mother earth. It is the healing rhythm that we hear when singing, dancing, or walking through the world. The round form of the drum represents the circle of life and the whole universe. The picture above is a drum display in Mark's booth at Denver Indian Market.
